PTP or PTMP
Solar Farm Wireless Bridge
KellyGraham has installed many solar farm wireless bridge solutions on solar farms in both PTP (Point to Point) and PTMP (Point to Multi Point) type arrangements. Wireless bridges can be a cost-effective way of establishing connections to devices out in the field and as a replacement/temporary solution for failed cabling rather than opting for costly trench works or timely fault finding and repair of copper and fibre links.
Ubiquiti Haardware
Single or Multiple Stations
The site local area network (LAN) will first be surveyed to ensure no duplication of IP addressing will take place. An access point will then be configured, installed and connected into the site local area network (LAN). Either single or multiple station can then be configured and installed at remote device locations, wirelessly connecting back to the access point, connecting the segments together. Configuration backups and all documentation to then maintain the link will be provided to the client.
Our preference is to install Ubiquiti hardware as this offers good value for money and reliability. We can offer other vendor hardware at request.
Isle of Wight Solar Farm Wireless Bridge
Wireless bridge installed on the Isle of Wight. The site was suffering from broken LAN fibre cables buried in the ground. Rather than take up costly time fault finding and repairing, the client opted for a wireless bridge to reconnect the two central inverter stations, weather station data and pyranometers located around site back to the central comms location.
